Here locally, schools are closed until further notice (at least until April 15 in Lee County), the court system has been brought to an abrupt halt with most judges agreeing to continue all cases until the end of April at the direction of the Florida Supreme court. Bars and night clubs have been ordered to shut down for 30 days, beaches have been closed, libraries and most other city, county, state recreational indoor activities have closed. All soccer and baseball little leagues have followed suit and canceled the season or delayed it until further notice. “Unprecedented” is the word that keeps being used to describe what has occurred in 8 short days.
