Adoption might get easier.

There is a new agreement in the works between the Department of Children and Families and the Agency for Health care administration. The agreement would make some children with developmental disabilities such as autism or cognitive impairment to receive Medicaid. In other words, children who were once considered unadoptable by the system will hopefully become more adoptable after the agreement goes into place allowing the child and/or his care giver to receive additional Medicaid for the care of that specific child. The end goal to be more affordable and realistic for foster parents to adopt children with special needs. You can contact an experienced adoption attorney at Calvo & Calvo Attorneys at Law for more information regarding this agreement and how it could help your specific adoption of a child with special needs.
